Fuel your body

What would happen if you fueled your car with the wrong fuel? It wouldn’t really work properly would it?

Do you ever think about what food does to your body? 

Ever since my competition I’ve not been very strict on my diet, it’s been more of a “no-f***s-given” kinda diet, where I eat whatever I want, whenever I want it. I do make sure I don’t overdo it, but I don’t count any macros or calories. Im just enjoying myself, but to be honest, my body doesn’t really work like this. I constantly have a headache and I’m tired and demotivated, and now I’ve gotten sick too. The sick part might be the weather, but I decide to blame my diet.  The only “good” part is all the gains I will be making in my “off-season”.  But right now, I’m so demotivated that I don’t even want to work out which is kind of the opposite of what I’m trying to do here. I can’t even express to you how much I look forward to start my prep in January, with new supplements (which I will share with you later) and a new meal plan!
I’m taking this as part of my learning curve though, now I know the way my body feels and I can really see the positive effects a good and balanced diet can do to my body!  There is only so much people can tell you, feeling it and doing it yourself, is a whole different story.

In a world where everything is fast-track and easy accessible, it’s hard to be on point with what you eat. You work full-time, the kids needs to go to school and football practice, and who’s got time to cook every day? And not to mention how much cheaper it is to buy crap! But lets be honest, cooking healthy isn’t all that hard, its just about priorities. Im not saying you need to go bananas, Im just saying that small changes in your diet can change your life.  It doesn’t have to be about weight loss or muscle building, do it for your health. Take charge of your body and your life.

  • Drink water instead of soda

(liquid calories doesn’t fill you up, it only make you gain weight)

  • Drink less alcohol

(alcohol has a lot of calories and will age your skin faster too)

  • Eat less processed food

(Processed = Frozen, fast food, microwave food etc)

  • Fill up your dinner plate with vegetables and meat 

(No Ketchup is not a vegetable, eat your greens)

  • Eat less sugar

(try to eat sugar only once a week)

  • Take your vitamins
